Detail of text used in the artwork ‘Canal Shore’. 696 of the 908 crew members on board the Titanic were lost. 542 of those who died were registered as living or staying in Southampton prior to the ship sailing.  43 years old August Kenzler, was one of those number, staying at No.12 Blechynden Terrace opposite the station, he worked as a storekeeper on the ship.
